SPM Essay! Jouney to Shah Alam (Warning there're many grammatical errors)
.
Hello, anybody home? Just kidding. For this post I would like to share with you guys about my experience riding motorcycle from Sungai Besar to Shah Alam and return back on the same day.Its objective is to adapt myself with the road environment and routes from my hometown to UiTM. I did stop in front of UiTM, but it was only for 30 seconds but nevertheless my objective was accomplished. This is the furthest motorcycle ride that I've been experienced. The journey took me 2 hours and 100 Kilometers to arrive and then return back to my hometown. So, the total distance is 200 Kilometers and 4 hours journey!!
I departed from my house in Sungai Besar at 8.15 a.m, frankly, I was very nervous, never in my life I ride motorcycle this far. I've been to Shah Alam many times before but I went there by car and my siblings are the one who driving it. Honestly, I'm not that good remembering road or reading sign, but luckily I got Google Maps came to rescue. Last night, I spent hours to memorize road and path that I suppose to take. I wrote down everything on a piece of paper (I just opened it once in Klang Sentral). I couldn't sleep last night, the Shah Alam journey was playing in my mind like crazy, there were so many possibilities came to my mind. Such as accident, motorcycle break-down, lost, run out of fuel and so on.
That not weakened me at all, I still stick with my plan. There was no turning back. With the bless from my parent, I start my journey nervously. It was a cold and good morning. The sky seemed cloudless, the sign of no rain which was good for me. I did not need rain to make my travel difficult. Only few meters from my house suddenly my motorcycle just stopped. "That is not good, I'm fucked up." I whispered. I restarted the engine again pressed the oil, It was a like a warming up for the motorcycle. For first kilometer, my speed only 60-70 Kmph. But after that, I increased the speed to 80 Kmph. After 40 minutes, I stopped at Petronas station in Kuala Selangor, I stopped for fuel and restroom break. I only stopped for 10 minutes and then I resumed my journey. My next destination was Kapar and hopefully reached Meru in 20 minutes for my next stop. But I did stop couple times on the the roadside though, because my butt hurt real bad. After all, I already reached half from my overall journey, which the the farthest motorcycle ride that I've ever been.
I managed to arrive in Shah Alam, approximately at 10.45 a.m. I lost couple time in I-city and taking wrong lane on the highway. Luckily the traffic current was being nice to me, I was surprised to see not so many cars on the road. I did have some complaints though about the behaviour of some road users, especially the Indian! They were so rude. Can you imagine, using phone while riding motorcycle, not wearing helmet, and he trespassed the red light. If he got into accident, I was the happiest man at the moment. I also would like to share about behaviour of some lorry drivers (coincidentally were Indians). They always changed lane without giving signal or stayed on the right lane and driving very slow. It pissed me off, real bad. But nothing could anger me more than the condition of the road. There were so many holes and bumps, which were very dangerous for road users. I did not understand why JKR turned eyes blind for that problem.
In Shah Alam I stopped at Hakim Restaurant (recommended by my long time FB friend, Eja Joe). I was very disappointed with the food and also the service. Especially with guys in the counter, very snooty. "At least smile a little bit, hey, I'm giving you my money!" At first I planned to spend 4 hours in Shah Alam, 1 hours for eating, 2 hours for movie and 1 hours just wondering around Shah Alam. But I changed it, I only spend 30-45 minutes in Shah Alam. I did looking for cinema in Bukit Raja, but I failed miserably. Not only I did not find it, I also broke some major traffic rules!! Then, I decided to go back to my hometown.
Not far from Bukit Raja, I took the highway route to Meru. I took the wrong lane ( Not only I didn't took motorcycle lane, but instead I took the speedy lane). Which was not good at all!! Just a few meters in front of me, I saw a bump, I could not change course because it was too risky and the cars moved fast. To make thing worse, there was a car behind me and I could not stop. People said that the moment before you die, you're going to get a flashback, but thing happened differently to me. I knew that I was going to die and the only words came to my mind at that moment were "Fuck you mother fucker!" Not exactly the good words to say before you die. With God's help, I survived. But my heart beating so fast and my hand and legs shaking like mad. I still continued my journey though, but the near-death experience will remain in my mind forever.
Then, everything was fine, nothing bad happened. But once again, I lost in Klang, I didn't panic, I just stay calm and stopped beside the road. I pulled out my map, and tried to figure out to go back to the highway. I managed to do so but, I wasted few valuable minutes because of that. In Meru, my butt started to hurt real bad, I stopped few times on the road side then continued my journey. But finally, at 1.15 P.M I arrived at my home. Nobody celebrated me, but after all it was okay for me. Before I entered my village, I did saw my mum in the coffee shop. She just looked at me strangely because she did not expect that I will be returned home so soon. Right now, my butt still hurt and I feel very tired even though I slept during evening. But overall it was a good experience, I have learned many thing from this journey. It taught me to be more independent and self-reliance. I must be patient when go through obstacles because it is impossible for me to succeed if I give up. Lastly, God is everything when you're in danger or having problem, if he can create it, so he also can solve it.
